I’ve been really lucky. Until recently my children haven’t grown that fast. So generally when I’ve brought clothes they have lasted a while before needing updating. However recently both my children have been going through a rapid growth spurt and I am being required at a rate of knots to refresh their wardrobes with new, size appropriate clothing! Thats fine except these days being a part time working mummy its not as easy to get to the shops. And I flatly refuse to hit the town centre on a weekend unless I really have to. Two children and a busy town centre is a recipe for disaster generally! So recently I’ve been shopping online more and more and making the most of free returns on various sites (Do you want some examples here or not?)
One great site I have found is Alex and Alexa who offer free returns and free delivery over £30 which is also a bonus! They even have start rite shoes for children! There is nothing I detest more than shoe shopping. And that goes for myself as well! So being able to have it delivered is a bonus!
I’m quite lucky really as neither of my children have rapidly growing feet. And being two boys little man will be getting hand me downs come the time he is 4. That being said I’ve only kept the really nice stuff to give to him. Not the cheapy stuff that eldest ruined! That being said though littlest is still a clothes size behind his age so all the stuff that everyone brought him for his birthday last summer is in-fact going to fit this summer! Go figure! I don’t care though because as far as I’m concerned he’s perfectly in proportion! And my eldest with his skinny little hips and long legs which mean I always have to find trousers with elastic adjustments inside! They cant be simple these children!
How does everyone else cope with juggling everything when your working??
