Review: Scala Pestos

A while ago an email dropped in my inbox about Pesto’s. Now I am a MASSIVE fan of italian food, quite frankly I would eat it every blinking night if I could! I really do love it that much! So when I read the email more and it was talking about all the lovely flavours and dishes you could create with these Pesto’s well it would have been rude to turn it down wouldn’t it! //

Now this may sound ridiculous and I did have to tweet to find out what the best way to have pesto was and about 10+ people came back and told me it was a must with pasta! So thats what we did. And I had to open the Wild Garlic Pesto first as any mention of garlic gets me salivating at the mouth! I love the stuff! The first tme I tried it I was a little too tight on the amount of pesto i used! However since upping it to a good full sized tablespoon I can tell you I’ve found my new favourite quick dish! Pasta with a nice large helping of Garlic Pesto! Nom nom!
We were also sent the Classic Basil Pesto and the Fiery Chilli to try. I cant even handle 1/10th of a teaspoon of chilli so I’ve left that one sitting in its jar at present but the Classic Basil Pesto I’ve found great for adding into dishes such as on pizza, in new potatos and in mash.
I have to say I am also incredibly impressed with Scala’s website which has loads of brilliant recipes on and even better you can search by product. So if you have brought say “Wild Garlic Pesto” it will tell you what dishes that will work with. There is also tons of information on all their products, I didn’t realise they did so much! So its well worth checking out.
So if your an Italian food lover and you want something really quick and really easy, then these are the way to go!
