Regular readers know I’m big on charity events clocking up 3 (quite possibly 4 this year) London to Brighton Cycle rides, 3 Addidas Womens 5K runs and training for the Half Moonwalk this year. So when Great Ormond Street got in touch regarding their FAMILY FRIENDLY RBC Race for the Kids which takes place on Sunday 24th DS1une and is taking place to raise money for improvements to Great Ormond Street Hospital, how could I not tell you all about it?!
What is great about this event is anyone can take part weather they want to run, roller-skate, jog or just walk!
Great Ormond Street does some amazing work for sick children. One of our friends has spent many years visiting them since her daughter started treatment there many years ago and is still treated there now. As well as redeveloping vital parts of the hospital so that staff can care for more sick children, the money raised from RBC Race for the Kids will help provide things like medical equipment, vital research into childhood illnesses, and beds for parents to stay in so they can be close to their children.
So if your looking for a fun family event this summer to do in London then consider signing up.
