Review: Aunt Bessie’s Home Baking Range

A while ago I was asked if I would like to review the Aunt Bessie’s recently expanded home baking range. I love baking but can’t stand all the measuring and prep so tend not to! So I was thrilled when this box arrived featuring many lovely goodies such as lemon drizzle cake, carrot cake, scone mix and many more!

The range features scone mix which just needs melted butter, milk and an egg to glaze. 15 minutes later and you have lovely fresh scones for breakfast! Which was lush when we were away on holiday in the new forest! I also treated the family to a set of Oat Biscuits which were incredibly easy to make and a fruit tea loaf cake which went down like a treat!

The range also includes Carrot Cake, Lemon Drizzle, Sponge Cake Mix as well as Syrup Sponge Pudding! And they are all incredibly simple to use! Even the most novice baker could manage these! And they taste just like you’ve made them yourself!

Another brilliant plus point for this range is the prices. They are all priced reasonably unlike some packet mixes and you certainly wouldn’t know the difference I don’t think! Well worth investing in if you want some quick and easy baking with the children! Or if you’ve got a last minute cake fair at school 😉

The range is available now in Asda.

  1. Hi, I tried the lemon drizzle cake today. I’m afraid I was not impressed, it tasted like “chemicals” lol. I know that sounds weird but thats the best description I can give:-(.

I won’t be buying this again, I was really disappointed as usually used a lot of AB’s stuff i.e. roast potatoes, yorkshire puds, chips etc.
