Well today I’m sore. Hardly surprising really after 56 miles on a bike yesterday! I had planned that I was just going to do a nice gentle kettle bell workout this evening, instead I ended up with an unexpected 2 mile walk to town to drop little man off as my mum had taken my car keys to work! It probably did me good to have a stretch out and get out but I certainly didn’t feel like it and wouldn’t have done it if I hadn’t had the push of having no house keys and needing to get little man somewhere.
I don’t feel as bad as I have in the past when I’ve done the ride. I’m sore and everything hurts when you’ve sat down for a while and then get up again but I am not totally wiped out which is a nice feeling.
Its also given me a strange boost. A realisation that my body is changing and getting fitter, far fitter than I had expected. My goal now is my running. I want to ideally beat my current 5K pb this month and begin working towards a 10k maybe around October time if I can find a suitable race then that doesn’t require you to raise £400 to do it!
