Recently we were sent the new Barny bear flavours, Strawberry and Apple to try. We’ve been loving the Barny bear cakes for a few months usually eating the milk and chocolate flavours so I was interested to see what the kids thought of these new flavours.
Being half term we wanted to get out a few times as it’s been a tough few weeks with the flooding so we decided an adventure to the farm was in order. So Barny got packed for our picnic lunch!
Barny loved meeting the animals, as you can see…
We of course didn’t allow the animals to try Barny though! Barnys too nice to share!!
My youngest has turned his nose up at the flavours. He did try them when he saw it and it looked like his usual favourite Barny but the moment he bit into it and discovered there was no chocolate he promptly handed it back. He is a VERY fussy two year old though!!!
My oldest however loved the new flavours. He’s a fruit eater anyway so it didn’t put him off and he is even more thrilled his baby brother doesn’t like them so it’s a snack he can enjoy without having to fight to keep it to himself or share it!!
The cakes are the ideal lunch box snack or after school bite to eat. Just be careful they don’t all disappear at once which I know would happen in our house given the chance!!!
This post is an entry for BritMums ‘Winter Little Adventures Challenge’ sponsored by Barny, individually wrapped bear-shaped sponges with a hidden filling. Find out more about Barny here.
